Local DEMS at Lees Pond
Festival June 21st -
"The
answer my friend is blowin' in the wind"
State Rep candidate Bowles and Jackson booths
were there, State Senate candidate Sara Orozco was there with
a beautiful pet tropical bird that decided the winds were too gusty
at one point, Register of Probate candidates DeRossi and
Dennis were there, Senator Kerry's ground troops were there, and
your Attleboro Democratic City Committee showed up with two tents of
games, literature, Obama info (thanks Jayson Joyce) and a list
of the
20 top successes of Governor Patrick.

(note missing tent to the left)
At one point we decided our political literature
needed to be disseminated amongst the crowd, which was easily
accomplished by a 40 mph gust of wind that sent that
literature and our larger tent into the field in front of
us....everyone survived !
Attleboro Sponsors 5

speeches, while Ed O'Reilly gained a hard fought primary spot
against Sen. Kerry as Democrats were united for a "big"
Democratic election year.

For the first time the Massachusetts Democratic
Party allowed high-school age "youth delegates" to particpate
These "youth" delegates got to learn all about how a convention is
run, which was followed by their own convention and workshops.
5 students from Attleboro and Norton who
participated along with over 100 state-wide youth delegates
included: Jayson Joyce (Feehan High School), Joe Lazzerini (Attleboro
High School), Stephanie Brodeur (Feehan High School), Emily Ferguson
(Attleboro High School), and Felicia Connelly (Attleboro High School).
(These students are shown in the picture
above along with DSC Committee woman Eliza Beringhouse, City Chair
Paul Grady, State Rep. Candidate Devin Romanul
(Norton-Mansfield-Foxboro) and Jim Humphrey, Ward 6 Chair)
